Itinerary
Your safari adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha, heading west through the lush agricultural highlands and into the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road journey is scenic and rewarding, offering views of Maasai villages, wildlife along the route, and the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment.
After passing through Naabi Hill Gate, you officially enter the legendary Serengeti National Park—a name synonymous with endless plains and iconic African wildlife. On your first afternoon game drive in Serengeti Central (Seronera region), you’ll begin to understand why this park is considered one of the top safari destinations on Earth. Keep an eye out for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, and abundant plains game.
Arrive at Moyo Tented Camp, a comfortable yet wild bush camp perfectly located for incredible game viewing and a true "under the stars" experience.
Accommodation: Moyo Tented Camp (Serengeti Central)
After an early breakfast, begin your overland game drive journey northward to the remote Northern Serengeti, a less-crowded and more pristine section of the park. This full-day drive is more than just travel—it’s an extended safari through different ecosystems, filled with game viewing opportunities along the way
If you’re traveling during the migration season (typically July to October), you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of animals gather near the Mara River, preparing for or making the dramatic crossing where crocodiles and predators await.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your secluded base, Moyo Camp North, nestled in a quiet area near the river. Enjoy a sundowner, listen to the sounds of the wild, and settle in for the night with a campfire dinner under the stars.
Accommodation: Moyo Camp (Northern Serengeti)
Today is a full-day safari in the incredible Northern Serengeti, home to rolling hills, rocky outcrops, and, during migration season, some of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife scenes. Your guide will help track wildlife based on movement patterns, radio updates, and years of experience.
Whether you catch a glimpse of wildebeest crossing the Mara River, witness lions stalking prey, or spot elusive leopards in the riverine forests, today will be packed with unforgettable moments. A picnic lunch will be served in the bush to maximize your time on safari.
In the late afternoon, return to Moyo Camp for a warm shower, hot meal, and quiet reflection as the stars rise over the African plains.
Accommodation: Moyo Camp (Northern Serengeti)
After a sunrise breakfast, begin your return south through the Serengeti. Enjoy one final game drive through Serengeti Central as you make your way out of the park. En route, pass by herds of elephants, zebras, and antelope moving across the golden plains.
You’ll arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon and descend 600 meters into one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. The crater is a natural amphitheater home to over 25,000 animals, including the critically endangered black rhino. Lions, hyenas, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and even elephants roam this compact but rich ecosystem.
After your crater game drive, continue to Gibb’s Farm, a tranquil colonial-era farmhouse surrounded by lush gardens and coffee plantations. This award-winning lodge is known for its farm-to-table cuisine, peaceful walking trails, and elegant accommodations.
Accommodation: Gibb’s Farm (Ngorongoro Highlands)
Enjoy a slow morning at Gibb’s Farm with a farm-fresh breakfast and perhaps a short-guided walk through the coffee plantations or the nearby Ngorongoro forest. This is a perfect opportunity to unwind, reflect on your safari, and soak in the beauty of the highlands.
After check-out, your guide will drive you back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight.
