Enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay in Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital, nestled at the base of Mount Meru and the gateway to the northern circuit.
Dinner and overnight: Tulia Boutique hotel, arusha
After breakfast at your hotel, your safari adventure officially begins. You’ll depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its towering baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and massive elephant population. It’s a haven for photographers and nature lovers alike.
You’ll spend the day exploring the park on a game drive, watching herds of elephants wander through the ancient baobab groves, and spotting lions, wildebeest, impala, and an incredible variety of birdlife.
Set in a picturesque location within the park, this lodge offers panoramic views, excellent service, and a serene atmosphere for your first night immersed in the wild.
Dinner and overnight: Tarangire Sopa lodge
This morning, you’ll leave Tarangire behind and journey westward toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. You'll travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands and enter Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate, where the endless plains unfold before your eyes.
Today, you’ll explore the central region of the park, known as Seronera, which offers exceptional year-round game viewing. This area is especially known for its concentration of big cats – lions, cheetahs, and leopards – as well as resident wildlife that remains even outside of migration season.
Nestled in the heart of the wilderness, Tukaone Camp blends authenticity with comfort, offering stunning sunsets, hearty meals, and a true bush experience under the stars.
Dinner and overnight: Tukaone Camp, central serengeti
After breakfast, you’ll head north into the Serengeti’s remote northern corridor, a region that plays host to one of the most awe-inspiring wildlife spectacles on the planet: the Great Wildebeest Migration. During this period, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra make their way to the Mara River, risking the crocodile-infested waters as they follow the rains.
This day will be filled with anticipation and excitement as you search for active crossings and observe the intense drama of nature in motion.
Ideally located near the Mara River, Moyo Camp provides comfort in a prime setting for migration viewing. Its peaceful setting and warm hospitality offer a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
Dinner and overnight: Moyo Camp, northern Serengeti
One of the highlights of your safari awaits this morning: a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti. One member of your group will float silently above the golden savannah, watching as herds of animals roam below and the morning light washes over the landscape. This magical experience is followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
Later in the day, enjoy another game drive in this dynamic region, continuing your search for big cats, elephant herds, and more river drama as the migration continues.
Enjoy your second night at this exceptional camp, allowing you to unwind with stories by the fire and the sounds of the wild around you.
Dinner and overnight: Moyo Camp, northern Serengeti
After a final game drive in the Serengeti, you’ll journey south toward the Ngorongoro
Conservation Area, a spectacular highland region that borders the Serengeti. Along the way, you’ll pass scenic landscapes, traditional Maasai villages, and expansive plains.
Upon reaching the crater rim, take in your first views of the Ngorongoro Crater – a vast volcanic caldera teeming with life, you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This is one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five, including the rare and endangered black rhino. The crater floor is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, and the scenery is simply breathtaking.
After a full morning of game viewing, you’ll exit the crater, you’ll be transferred to Arusha Airport (ARK) to catch your short flight to Zanzibar, where the next chapter of your Tanzanian adventure begins.
Whether you’re seeking pristine beaches, spice tours, or exploring the rich history of Stone Town, Zanzibar offers the perfect complement to your safari.
