After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, which is about a 3-hour drive from the hotel. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephants and its iconic Baobab trees. It’s a less crowded park, so you'll have an intimate safari experience.
Your day will involve a game drive in the park, where you'll have the opportunity to see a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various species of birds.
During the dry season, many animals gather around the Tarangire River, making it an excellent spot for game viewing. A packed lunch will be provided, and you can enjoy it at a designated picnic spot within the park, allowing you to soak in the surroundings.
After lunch, you will continue your safari exploration of the park, with the possibility of spotting more wildlife, especially around the river and waterholes. After a day of wildlife viewing, you'll head to your accommodation for the night.
Dinner and Overnight at Omage View Hotel
Omage View Hotel: Situated just outside the park, Omage View Hotel offers great views of the surrounding area. The hotel is comfortable, with modern amenities and a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, which serves both local and international cuisine.
After breakfast on Day 3, you'll depart for Serengeti National Park. The drive takes about 4-5 hours, passing through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands and into the Serengeti’s expansive plains.
Serengeti is one of the most famous wildlife parks in the world, home to the Great Migration of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Even outside migration season, the park has an abundance of wildlife. Serengeti offers exceptional game viewing, and you'll enjoy multiple game drives over the next two days. Expect to see an incredible array of animals, from the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinoceros) to cheetahs, hyenas, and a variety of bird species.
The plains are vast, and the wildlife is spread out, giving you the feeling of exploring a true wilderness. Your safari guide will arrange a picnic lunch during the game drive, either at a designated picnic area or with a great view of the savannah.
Dinner and Overnight at Lobo Wildlife Lodge
Lobo Wildlife Lodge: Located in the northern part of Serengeti, Lobo Wildlife Lodge provides a luxury safari experience with stunning views of the Serengeti plains. The lodge is built with local materials to blend in with the environment, offering spacious rooms with private balconies. Enjoy a delicious dinner after a full day of safari activities.
On Day 4, start your day early with a morning game drive, when the animals are most active. You may witness predators like lions and cheetahs hunting or see the great herds of wildebeest and gazelles grazing. If you’re interested in a more unique experience, you can opt for a balloon safari (at an additional cost). This is an unforgettable way to see the Serengeti from above, offering panoramic views of the endless plains and the wildlife below.
Enjoy another packed lunch on your game drive or return to the lodge for a relaxing break. After a rest, you will head back out for an afternoon safari. The Serengeti’s vastness means you could encounter different wildlife compared to the morning, and the late afternoon is often when predators become more active again.
In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and a well-earned rest after your thrilling safari experiences.
Dinner and Overnight at Lobo Wildlife Lodge
On Day 5, after breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti and head towards Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This drive takes approximately 4-5 hours and offers breathtaking views as you descend into the caldera.
Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." The crater is home to a wide range of wildlife, including a healthy population of endangered black rhinos. The floor of the crater is home to numerous animals, including lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and buffalo. The dense vegetation around the crater floor creates great opportunities for wildlife photography.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, surrounded by the dramatic landscape. After lunch, you will continue exploring the crater floor. Depending on the season, the crater can offer incredible wildlife sightings, especially around the marshes and lakes.
